Step 1 Lead-in
1. Explain some names of common tools for DIY
T: Now Hobo has finished his house. This is a house made by himself. Please think about this
Question: what tools did Hobo use? (Teach some names of tools: hammer, axe, screwdriver.)
T: What other tools did Hobo use?
T: Oh, here are different guesses. What are the English words for these tools?(Tell students how   
to say these tools in English: glue, scissors, tape, brush, rope.)
2. Look at the picture and match the words in the box with the tools
3. Do a matching game: Find the explanations
