Step1 Homework checkout
1. Ask students to check the exercises they have finished.
2. Discuss their questions in groups. If they have some problems, they will ask teacher for help.
Warm up:
Watch a video about Xuzhou and discuss “What can you see in the pictures?” in groups.
Try to say as many things as possible.
Show pictures and the new words.

2. Mutual-assistance based problem solving
1) Warm up
Show some pictures about the underground, the theatre, jogging, Beijing opera and so on to lead in today’s lessons.
Then ask some question:
Is there a theatre/ an underground station near your home?
Do you like jogging?
Do you think the air is fresh here?
Which do you like, Chinese food or Western food?
Do you like watching Beijing opera? Can you sing it?
Do you look forward to watching films at weekends?
How long does it take from your home to the nearest park/ theatre/ restaurant?
2) Finish Part B1 on Page33, then check the answers.
3) Listen and answer: What can people do in Sunshine Town?
    4) Read and answer:
Where’s Sunshine Town?
What can people do in the park?
What can the exchange students buy in the shops?
What can the exchange students eat in the restaurant?
Where can they enjoy Beijing opera?
5) Read and finish Part B3 and ask them to tell how to correct the mistakes
6) Finish Part B2 , and ask them to retell what we can do in the different places .
7) finish Part B4 , and then check the answers in class and ask them to read the dialogue in roles .
8) Team work: Ask them to have an interview about the town , one to be the interviewers and the others to be the reporters , each one in the group can ask one question about the town.
