either可用作副词，意为“或者；也(用于否定句后)”。either常用的结构为either … or …，意为“要么……要么……；或者……或者……；不是……就是……”，可用来连接两个独立的词、短语、甚至句子。当这个结构连接两个并列的主语时，谓语动词要与后一个主语在人称和数上保持一致。
【拓展】　either还可以作代词，意为“(两者中的) 任何一个”，作主语时谓语动词用单数形式。
