To become thinner, Mr. Smith decided to stop driving his car to work, and he rode a bike instead. Sometimes when all the cars stopped at a red light, he went past them to the front, because his bike was small. He was pleased with this.
Sometimes when the roads were too narrow for cars to move on, he could still go easily. He liked to get away from the noise of the busy streets.
